Take 5 minutes to focus on your five senses:
- See: Look around and name 5 things you can see.
- Touch: Notice 4 things you can feel (like the texture of your chair or the softness of a blanket).
- Hear: Listen for 3 sounds—birds chirping, the hum of your fridge, or distant traffic etc.
- Smell: Breathe in deeply and identify 2 scents, even if it’s just your coffee or the air.
- Taste: Savor a small bite of something or just notice what your mouth tastes like!
This one is very powerful – telling you from personal experience! It instantly quiets a chaotic mind!
🎨 2. “Messy Art” Therapy
You don’t have to be an artist to feel creative. Grab some crayons, doodle on a piece of paper, or even scribble wildly. Be like water – just flow!
🌈 3. The “Reverse Bucket List”
Instead of listing things you want to do, write down things you’ve already accomplished! It could be as simple as “made the perfect cup of coffee” or “didn’t hit the snooze button today!”
After you’re done, just read the list and watch your confidence soar!
🕯️ 4. “Candlelight Moment”
Light a candle, even during the day. No specific reason—just the act of watching the flickering flame can be oddly calming. You can combine it with sipping tea or journaling. Hey! These two are self care ideas in themselves!
🗺️ 5. Micro-Adventure
Take a 10-minute “adventure” in your own neighbourhood. Walk a different route, explore a new park, or even visit a random aisle in the grocery store you’ve never noticed before. The change of scenery can feel refreshing, like a mini-vacation!
🎧 6. The “Silent Symphony”
Put on noise-cancelling headphones and sit in complete silence for 5 minutes. No music, no podcasts—just you and your thoughts. It’s surprisingly powerful for mental clarity and stress relief!

Go outside and find 3 things you’re grateful for in nature. It could be the chirping of the birds, the rustle of leaves, or the warmth of the sun. Nature is a powerful antidote to A LOT of our problems! Lets stay connected to it, shall we?
💭 10. “Mind Dump” Brainstorm
Grab a notebook and write down everything in your head—worries, tasks, random thoughts. Don’t filter or organize; just let it all out. It’s like giving your brain a “declutter” session.
🌿 11. The “Green therapy”
There are two types in this one actually:
- Walk barefoot on grass – Just trust me.
- Look outside your window at everything green- And I don’t mean artificial green! I mean the trees, grass, shrubs and bushes!
Green is nature. Green is love. Green is soothing.
